OUR MOST POPULAR SEMINAR
80% of people experience back pain at some point in their lives...
This is a necessary seminar for anyone who has experienced upper and/or lower back pain. Whether you are sitting at a desk all day, standing long hours, or lifting heavy boxes, if your back is not conditioned properly, back pain usually results. Long days of sitting at a computer result in weak, overstretched muscles. This in turn pulls the spine out of alignment, and the natural curves of your spine become diminished or exaggerated. It is the small muscles in the neck and shoulder area, as well as the large lower back muscles, that become strained and chronically sore. This seminar focuses on strengthening these weak, overstretched muscles, and stretching the tight, shortened muscles, as well as presenting exercises to restore the natural curves and flexibility to the spine.
This is a hands-on, interactive seminar of simple strengthening and stretching exercises as well as ergonomic tips for injury prevention. Participants will be given a dyna-band to do the exercises that will be demonstrated and hand-outs will be given so people can work on the exercises at home.
A long-term study reported in
Spine, a leading international publisher of professional health information for physicians, nurses, specialized clinicians and students, that there was a 75-80% reduction in absenteeism by participants after 12 months of a conventional exercise program.
